ABOUT ME
More than ever before, we know there is no separation between your body and brain, rather they are like equal thinking partners working and collaborating in unison.
This is something I have spent my professional career exploring, from undertaking significant study, personal development and receiving international accreditation in Executive Coaching and the Pilates Method.
So, instead of trying to separate the two I now connect them in my service offerings.
Coaching for me is a partnership with the mind and body. Everything is connected. My practice of excellence is working with the whole person, bringing together both the mental and physical presence of ‘noticing and being’.
What I have observed over many years of coaching is that high levels of anxiety, stress and overwhelm hinder our cognitive ability to problem solve, visualise solutions or engage with others. I have a favourite saying ‘What the brain can’t deal with the body will’ meaning when we are unable to ‘think’ during high levels of ‘brain fatigue’, the negative energy needs to go somewhere. So it is redirected elsewhere in your body. This is why many clients I work with experience chronic pain and discomfort in their neck, shoulders, back and knees.

MY APPROACH
Today, I am a Development Coach specialising in a somatic approach – one which truly considers the whole person, both mentally and physically, and the fact we think and feel all things, from the top down and the bottom up. An approach heavily back by researched, which I’ll elaborate on at another time.
In a session with me, we explore both thinking and reflection AND movement and reflection. Starting with a 60 minute Coaching session, with the option of incorporating a personalised Pilates program tailored to your needs.
If you only take a cognitive approach towards your growth and development, you are only focusing on half of your potential. Let’s work together to explore how an integrated physical AND mental outlook can have the biggest impact of all.
What I love most about the work I do is seeing the new connections and insights people make when they undertake my coaching program or attend one of my workshops. Not only from the success of achieving their outcomes, but also from the unexpected life-changing rewards coaching brings - including increased self-esteem, confidence, innovation, problem solving and resilience.
Coaching is not just about setting a goal and talking about how to get from A to B, it is a path of learning and self-discovery. It will ultimately change the way you think, which will change the way you behave and how you are seen.
